Film Posters

Personally I think film posters are one of the best ways graphic designers skills are truly shown, there are hundreds of fantastic posters displaying a huge range of different graphic techniques. Here are a few that caught my eye...

I love how lighting has been used in the photograph to accentuate only the outline of the face, it gives the poster a real sinister feel.

The use of the Polaroid's to create the skull creates such a powerful image, I think this poster is outstanding.

Both of these posters create an eery feel by having the subject emerging into the foreground. Then the typography on top creates 2 fantastic posters, that clear, easy to read. 

Surreal Photographs

I can across this designer Eugene Soloview. I love how with his photographs he manipulates them to give them a surreal feel. He's a 20 year old from Russia and is completely self thought. Hopefully I will get chance to use my new camera soon and Soloview's work is definitely fantastic inspiration.
